Findings from the Urologic Diseases in America Project

SSS epidemiologists Lydia Feinstein, Julia Ward, and Erline Martinez-Miller are among the authors of seven podium presentations and six moderated posters accepted for presentation at the 2020 American Urology Association annual meeting. The in-person conference was cancelled in response to the coronavirus pandemic, but the abstracts have been published in a special issue of the Journal of Urology. Several of the presentations will also be presented virtually via the AUA Virtual Science portal. Drs. Feinstein and Ward’s abstracts cover analyses conducted as part of the Urologic Diseases in America project and examine topics such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, and hypospadias. Other authors of the abstracts include researchers from Albany Medical College, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, and Loyola University Medical Center.
