#TBT Not all heroes wear capes, but this one does! SSS President and CEO Kevin Beverly dons the "Hero Against Hunger" cape at the Manna Food Center awards reception in April 2018. Manna and SSS are committed to ending hunger in Montgomery County.
As a "Hero Against Hunger," Social & Scientific Systems packed 8,800 Smart Sacks with Manna Food Center to help combat childhood hunger in our community. Smart Sacks are nutritious, family-friendly meal bags provided to Montgomery County schoolchildren for weekends when access to school meals may not be available. Learn more: http://ow.ly/eXbE50jVaWr
Grit. Resilience. Brilliance.
These are the words that our President & CEO, Kevin Beverly, used to describe Francy. Francy represents an enormous population of students who fought for their education through adversity. These students are arguably the most equipped to be leaders and role models for us all.
Lived experiences are unmatched and irreplaceable. We are so honored and fortunate to share that Francy is now a member of our SSS IT team.
Thank you to the Universities at Shady Grove for being a platform to enable and empower students.

November is #NationalDiabetesMonth. For Hispanic/Latino adults with diabetes, lower access to healthcare was associated with an increased odds of being undiagnosed. Those with a family history of diabetes were less likely to be undiagnosed. Read more about the research SSS has contributed: https://lnkd.in/dFiKdHX
