Study Management Information Systems
Social & Scientific Systems' programmers develop study management information systems for each project. They work with study staff to develop a workable system to account for the status of all sampled cases and to track progress through the stages of data collection. Typical operations will produce a record to monitor all critical study outcomes; reminder lists showing ID numbers for cases for which an outcome is expected; advance notice reports on data collection events that need to occur during a scheduled timeframe; automatic lists to generate study mailings, followup forms, telephone call sheets, and other individualized letters or forms; and reports and statistical summaries of study progress. Study staff can generate reports on overall response rates, response rates by interviewer, results of tracing efforts, or productivity rates.
