The Microbicide Research and Development Portfolio
SSS developed the Microbicide Research and Development Portfolio (MRDP) as an interactive Web-based information management and tracking system of microbicides in development. The MRDP supports NIH's comprehensive microbicide research program that includes screening, preclinical in vitro and in vivo testing and the clinical evaluation of antimicrobial compounds with spermicidal and non-spermicidal activity. It is also a compendium of historical compounds considered for their anti-HIV and/or microbicidal activity.
