As the administrative agent for operations centers and coordinating centers, Social & Scientific Systems is responsible for financial accounting, budgeting, and contracting. We disburse funds through subcontracts and other agreements and manage collaborations with pharmaceutical companies that contribute supplemental funds and products to support research studies. Since the late 1990s, we have managed more than 1,000 subcontracts with a value of more than $400 million.
